Sterling silver will usually cost less than gold. Also, the carat weight of the gemstones in the ring will also factor in. Although these rings are traditionally exchanged by younger people there is no reason why mature adults cannot give promise rings to one another.

However for the widest selection you may want to shop online. Sometimes promise rings are given as gifts for birthdays and holidays. Whether a promise ring is cheap or expensive the most important thing is the promise it represents.
